Al Pacino

2004 Emmy Nominated: Lead Actor, Angels in America

One the the greatest, best-known, and prolific actor of this or any time, Pacino started out like so many by doing school plays, but eventually dropped out to pursue acting full time. Since then he has portrayed some of the most memorable characters in movie history: Michael Corleone, Tony "Scarface" Montana, Frank Serpico... The list goes on and on. Just as interesting, though, are the roles he turned down, like Benjamin Willard in "Apocalypse Now" (which went to Martin Sheen) and Han Solo in "Star Wars" (which went to Harrison Ford). Pacino is married to Beverley D'Angelo.

Al Pacino is nominated for 2004's Outstanding Lead Actor In A Mini Series or Movie for his role on HBO's "Angels in America."
