Alfre Woodard
2006 Emmy Nominated: Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series
Alfre Woodard was born in Oklahoma, and studied drama at Boston University. She made several guest appearances on television series' and films and even earned an Academy Award nomination for her supporting role in the 1983 film Cross Creek. Star Trek fans will recognize Alfre as Lily Sloane, the assistant to Zefram Cochrane in Star Trek: First Contact. Her television credits include L.A. Law, Hill Street Blues, The Practice, St. Elsewhere, and Homicide: Life On The Street. In 2005 she came to the ABC series Desperate Housewives where she received a 2006 Emmy nomination.
Woodard has also appeared on stage, in the plays Map
Of The World, Drowning Crow, and A Winter's Tale. Currently she resides
in Santa Monica, California with her husband and two children.
