Ben Kingsley

2006 Emmy Nominated: Lead Actor, Mrs. Harris

Ben Kingsley's debut film was the 1972 "Fear Is The Key", but found fame in his role as Mahatma Gandhi in the Academy-Award winning film Gandhi in 1982. Kingsley also won an Academy Award for Best Actor for the role. Kingsley was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor Academy Awards for his roles in "Bugsy" and "Sexy Beast", and nominated for Best Actor in "House of Sand and Fog". Ben was knighted in 2001 and rumour has it that he insists upon being called "Sir Ben".

Ben Kingsley is nominated for 2006's Outstanding Lead Actor In A Mini Series Or A Movie for his role in HBO's "Mrs. Harris."
