Love him or hate him, Bill could probably care less either way. Having made a career out of pissing people off by not pulling punches in what he says, it's just this attitude that got him a top-rated show on Comedy Central and then ABC, four CableACE awards, 18 Emmy nominations... and a cancellation for remarks made after September 11th. But in a testament to free speech Maher came back with a new show, "Real Time with Bill Maher," in 2003 on HBO.
