Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen

2006 Emmy Nominated: Lead Actor in Comedy, Two And A Half Men

Born on Sept 3rd, 1965 to father Martin Sheen, Charlie was destined to become an actor. He has 3 siblings, all of whom were to become actors as well; Emilio Estevez, Renee Estevez and Ramon Estevez.

Charlie Sheen’s breakout was Oliver Stone’s 1986 epic, “Platoon.” He received praise for his depiction of a young soldier caught in a moral crisis. His success there led to further success in “Wall Market” in which he worked with his father, Martin Sheen, as well as Michael Douglas.

However, his success was not to last. After some popular films in the 90s, Charlie would fall into a drug addiction, hitting rock-bottom in May 1998, when he almost died from a drug overdose.

Charlie recovered, and in 2000, clean and sober, was given a role on ABC’s sitcom “Spin City.” He would go on to star in another sitcom, “Two and a Half Men.”
