Clifton Collins Jr.2006 Emmy Nomination: Supporting Actor in a MovieCollins first broke through to the mainstream in 1997 with a performance as gang thug Cesar in the film One Eight Seven. In 1998 he enchanted and amused small screen audiences in Ray Bradbury's cult latino film The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit. It was his portrayal of a hitman for the Mexican drug cartels in the 2000 ensemble drama Traffic that really pushed Collins into the public eye, however. Later on, Collins won rave reviews for his subtle portrayal of killer Perry Smith in the 2005 fact-based film Capote which starred Philip Seymour Hoffman. He is set to star in 2006's Dirty alongside Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. Collins has a starring role on FX Networks' new show Thief, for which he received the 2006 Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
