Cynthia, a native New Yorker, made her winderful film debut
in Little Darlings in 1980. Since then she has done a great deal
of work on Broadway, appearing in productions such as "The Last Night
of Ballyhoo," "Indiscretions," and "Angels in America"
(the television adaptation of which is also nominated
for an Emmy). Cynthia has even gone so far as to appear in two different
productions at the same time: "Hurlyburly" and "The
Real Thing." Her hard work has not gone unnoticed, either, garnering
her a Los Angeles Drama Crtics Award, a Theatre World Award, and a Tony
nomination. On top of all this, she is also the co-founder of Drama Dept.,
a New York theatre company. Nixon joins her "Sex and the City"
castmates Sarah Jessica
Parker, Kim Cattrall
and Kristin Davis in Emmy
nominations this year.
