2004 Emmy Nominated: Supporting Actress, the sopranos

Drea (pronounced "Dray") grew up in Queens, mainly with her grandmother and nanny. Her mother was a playwright, and so, taking a page from her book, Drea attended the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU where she had planned on becoming a director. Fate stepped in, however, and after receiving quite a bit of attention for her acting, she eventually decided to pursue that. Drea has tattoos of mother's, father's and grandmother's names - and AC-DC, too - and owns Filth Mart, a Manhattan clothing store.

Drea de Matteo is nominated for 2005's Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role on "The Sopranos."
