A graduate of the acting program at the State University of New York at Purchase, Edie spent the first few years out of school working as a clown and other similar jobs at weddings and birthdays. She's come a long way since then, however, becoming the first woman to sweep the three top TV awards by winning an Emmy, Golden Globe and a SAG award for her role as Carmela Soprano.
