2005 Emmy Nominated: Lead Actor, The Life and Death of Peter Sellers
"If there are two baskets that you put actors into, I'd like to be put into the serious, deep actor basket rather than the personality basket." -Geoffery Rush
Born on July 6 1951 in Toowoomba, Australia, Geoffrey Rush
made his 1971 stage debut in "Wrong Side of the Moon," a production of
the Queensland Theatre Company. He briefly moved to France before returning

blew everyone away with his performance in "Shine;" winning a Golden Globe,
a British Film Award, an Australian Film Institute Award, and an Oscar.
Rush continues to keep close to his Australian roots, and recently appeared
in "Ned Kelly," a film about the legendary Irish-Australian outlaw of
the same name.
Geoffrey Rush is nominated for 2005's Outstanding Lead Actor
In A Mini Series Or A Movie for the role of Peter Sellers in the HBO movie
