2005 Emmy Nominated: Lead Actress, Their Eyes Were Watching God

Halle Berry was born on August 14 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio. He father was an African American and her mother was British. At 17 years old she won the Miss Teen All-American Pageant, and a year later she came second in the Miss USA Pageant. She has appeared on the list of "50 Most Beautiful People" in People Magazine no less than eight times, tying Julia Roberts for the most appearances. She has appeared in several films including "X-Men" "X2," and "Catwoman;" becoming the first actress to appear in films based on both Marvel and DC Comics characters. Though Halle won a Razzie Worst Actress Award for "Catwoman" her film career continues to soar.

Halle Berry is nominated for 2005's Outstanding Lead Actress In A Mini Series Or A Movie for her role as Janie Crawford in ABC's "Their Eyes Were Watching God."
