Holland Taylor

2005 Emmy Nominated: Supporting Actress, Two And A Half Men

"I'm just cutting a swath of bitchiness through the world!" -Holland Taylor on her tough feminine roles

Holland Taylor was born on January 14, 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, but grew up in the near by country town of Allenstown, Pennsylvania. At the age of 22 she moved to New York City to become a "big Broadway Star." She debuted in 1965 in "The Devils." In 1980 she worked on the sitcom "Bosom Buddies" with Tom Hanks, and subsequently began to move away from her first love, live theatre, into film and television. In 1997 she won an Emmy for her role on "The Practice." Taylor has never married or had children.

Holland Taylor is nominated for 2005's Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Comedy Series for her work as Evelyn Harper in CBS's "Two And A Half Men."
