Ian Mcshane

2005 Emmy Nominated: Lead Actor, Deadwood

Ian McShane was born on 29 September 1942 in Blackburn, Lancashire, England. However, he grew up in Manchester, where his father Harry plaid for the infamous Manchester United Football Club. He plays roles varying from hard eyed, calculating, villains, and caddish lovers. In the 1977 production "Jesus of Nazareth" he played the treacherous role of Judas Iscariot. Currently he is best known for his role on HBO's series "Deadwood." McShane won a Golden Globe award for his work on "Deadwood" in 2005.

Ian is nominated for 2005's Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series for his role of Al Swearengen on HBO's "Deadwood".
