John Ritter
2004 Emmy Nominated: Lead Actor, 8 Simple Rules
Though he started out as a psychology and architecture major in college, an appearance on The Dating Game - along with the persuasion of a friend - Ritter changed his major to theatre arts and never looked back. Considered by many to be "the King of the Sitcom," he starred as Jack Tripper in "Three's Company" from 1977 to 1984, before returning to the small screen in 2002's "8 Simple Rules... for Dating My Teenage Daughter." Sadly, John passed away an aortic dissection in September of 2003.
