2006 Emmy Nominated: Lead Actress in Comedy, The Comeback

Lisa Kudrow was born in Encino, California, on July 30th, 1963. She attended Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, achieving a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Psychobiology. She was raised in Tarzana, played varsity-level tennis in high-school and college, and is rumored to know her was around a pool table.

Her acting career started when one of her Brother’s friends, Jon Lovitz, inspired her. She eventually landed a role on NBC’s comedy “Mad about You.” This led to her most famous role; as the ditzy singer Phoebe in the hit series, “Friends.” The role even garnered her an Emmy nomination during the show’s first season, and a win for the same role in 1998.

She has been successful on the big screen as well, staring in “Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion” and achieving a New York Film Critics award for her work in “The Opposite of Sex.”

Lisa was married to Michael Stern, an advertising executive, on May 27th, 1995. They have 1 child, by the name of Julian Murray.
