2005 Emmy Nominated: Lead Actress, Desperate Housewives

Born on March 1962 in Malborough Massachusetts, Marcia Cross graduated from the Julliard School in New York City. She worked in daytime soap operas for several years before joining the cast of "Melrose Place." After her companion of many years, Richard Jordan passed away; she completed a Masters in Psychology at Antioch University. Returning to television, she accepted the role of Bree Van De Camp on "Desperate Housewives." Her work on the show has earned her the first award nominations of her career.

Cross is nominated for 2005's Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series for her role as Bree Van De Camp in ABC's "Desperate Housewives."
