Megan is an LA native who comes from showbiz parents; her mother was a model, and her father is a retired contract player for Paramount. Though she originally majored in acting at Northwestern University, she switched to English Literature after a brief time. However, she continued to appear in campus productions and musicals, which her the gained the attention of several producers and prompted her to leave the school. She moved back to LA in 1985 with a mind to becoming an actress, but it wasn't until she appeared in "Grease" with Rosie O'Donnell in 1994, and with Matthew Broderick in "How to Succeed in Business" in 1995, that people once again began to take notice of her. Her biggest role to date, however, is the current one of Karen Finster on "Will & Grace," alongside fellow nominee Sean Hayes.
