2005 Emmy Nominated: Supporting Actor, Lost

"The older I get, the more I'm prepared to do things for the money" -Naveen Andrews on minority stereotypes in film.

Born on Janurary 17, 1969 in London England, Naveen Andrews went on attend the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. In Sanskrit, his name means "new," and he has brought a new touch to all of the projects he's been involved with. When he was 16 years old, he moved in with his teacher, Geraldine Feakins. The two later had a son named Jaisal. He has appeared in such movies as "The English Patient," and "Bride and Prejudice."

Andrew's first television role was on "Secret File, U.S.A" back in 1955. In the intervening years he has appeared on shows ranging from "M*A*S*H*" to "The West Wing." Alan celebrated his first Emmy win by doing a cartwheel down the aisle to accept it. Since then he has won five Emmys and has become to only person to win an Emmy for each acting, writing and directing. Recent film and television appearances include "The West Wing" and "The Aviator."

Naveen is nominated for 2005's Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series for his role as Savid, an ex-Iraqi soldier on ABC's "Lost."
