Ray Romano was born on December 21, 1957 in Queens, New York. He originally planned to become an accountant, until he got his first chance to perform comedy in a troop called "No Talent." Most of his work has been on TV in his hit series, "Everybody Loves Raymond." However he has also appeared in the feature length films "Welcome to Mooseport," "Ice Age" and "Ice Age 2." He is the top paid television actor in history, earning 19 000 000$ per year. His brother is a sergeant in the NYPD and Ray appeared alongside him in a recent recruiting campaign. Everybody Loves Raymond has fellow Emmy nominees Patricia Heaton, Doris Roberts, Peter Boyle, and Brad Garrett.

Romano is nominated for 2005's Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series, for the role of Ray Barone on CBS' "Everybody Loves Raymond."
