Sandra Oh was born on Nov 30, 1970 in Nepean, Ontario, Canada. She grew up around Canada's capital, Ottawa, and is fully bilingual in both English and French. She excelled in theatre and improv comedy in high school. She attended the National Theatre School of Canada, and got her first serious role playing a drug addicted prostitute in a made for TV movie on the CBC, Canada's national television station. Since, she has acted in several independent films and plays, but now she is currently working primarily in prime time TV series.

Sandra is nominated for 2005's Outstanding Supporting Actress In A Drama Series for her work as Christina in ABC's "Grey's Anatomy."
