2003 Emmy Nominated: Lead Actress, Sex and the City
Sarah's been a very busy girl since she first started acting
early in life. Already trained in singing and ballet, she landed the coveted
lead role in the Broadway production of "Annie." After a year
she left the role to attend high school - and continue acting, of course.
After a few TV movies and short-lived series', she began her movie career
in the likes of "Footloose" and "Girls Just Wanna Have
Fun." But her real big break came when she played opposite Steve
Martin in "L.A. Story," after which she began landing meatier
roles alongside Nick Cage in "Honeymoon in Vegas" and Bette
Midler and Kathy Najimy in "Hocus Pocus." It was her role as
Carrie Bradshaw in the wildly popular "Sex and the City" with
co-stars Kim Cattrall, Kristin
Davis and Cynthia Nixon
that made her a pop culture icon.
Actress Sarah Jessica Parker won for her leading role in the HBO original
series "Sex and the City" in 2004.
Sarah is nominated for 2003's Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series
for her role on "Sex and the City."
